Figure 8.4 Nozzle coverage for an emission test.

The European legislation requires an outlet section of the nozzle of 0.3 m2 (at least) placed at 30 cm from the vehicle and 20 cm from the ground floor.

8.2.3 Research and Development

Many manufacturers in research and development (R&D) are considering the different types of tests. We will examine two kinds of tests in this group: real-driving emission (RDE) simulation tests and friction tests.
